The Ninja Tune label turns 20 this year. To build up for the great festivities in september they are offering some free music downloads each week. Sometimes it’s a new remix, other times some old, hard to find, classics. This week it’s a Solid Steel mix by Kid Koala they couldn’t release due to licensing problems, and man is it a pity they couldn’t. Kid Koala is a stunning DJ (ask anyone who’s seen the little canadian live), and the tune selection is a blissful trip down memory lane with tons of Ninja Tune classics.

I’ve uploaded a tune I made for the contest of this years klarafestival. It took a few nightly sessions in order to get it done before the deadline, so not all details are as polished as I’d want to, but I’ve decided this version is it for the time being.

Website Redesign

Last few months I’ve been a bit quiet, because I’m working on a few projects, one of which is now finally finished: a new design for the site. I tried various things: expanding the previous site to a more cms like system, drupal, joomla, etc. In the end I decided to keep it simple and settled on this wordpress-powered design. There are still some minor elements I’d like to change (when is something ever finished?), but they aren’t worth delaying the launch of the site.

The new site allows you to post comments, should load faster, be more robust and look a lot more pretty. Go check it out!

Some time ago I came across a remix competition for the new track of David Latour. The original is not quite my thing, to put it lightly, but it had nice vocals to work with.

It’s taken quite some time, but the new single is out now on restinbeatz. On the one side is Breathe Out, a full on party banger, while the other side It’s Alright is more for your afterparty listening pleasure. Deadly Hunta Gets An Exodub Treatment

I’ve finished a new remix, the classic Smoke Dog by Deadly Hunta (made popular by DJ Aphrodite’s version on his album Afterschock).
